How to Switch to Left Hand in CS2: A Complete Guide

Switching to left hand in CS2 is easier than you think. I'll walk you through the process, both in-game and through console command.

In-Game:

  1. Launch CS2 and click the Cog icon in the top-left corner to open settings.
  2. Go to the "Keyboard and Mouse" tab.
  3. Find "Switch Viewmodel Left/Right" under the Weapons Key section.
  4. Set your preferred key (default is 'H').
  5. In-game, press this key to switch between left and right handed.

Console Commands:

  1. If you haven't already, enable the Developer Console in game settings.
  2. Open the console by pressing the '~' key during a game.
  3. Enter this command: bind "h" "toggle cl_righthand 0 1"
  4. Replace 'h' with any key you want.

To make the changes stick, add the command to your autoexec.cfg file.

Now you can switch to left hand in CS2 with a single keypress.

Switching to left hand is purely visual and won't affect your gameplay. Some players find it helpful for visibility on certain angles, others just like the look. Try it and see what works for you.
