CS2 Sucks: Why Players Do Not Like the Latest Counter-Strike Game
CS2 sucks, and I'm not alone in thinking so. Many long time CS fans had high hopes for the new game, but it's been a major let down for them.
Here's what CS2 players think are the biggest issues:
- Performance: Even with good ping, there's constant micro lag and increased frame delay compared to CS:GO. The game feels sluggish and unresponsive.
- Graphics over gameplay: CS2 prioritizes visuals over gameplay. The unnecessary effects and new graphics actually detract from the core experience that made Counter-Strike great.
- Sound design: Weapons sound unrealistic and the overall sound is off. While the ambient sound is better the other audio issues aren't made up for it.
- UI changes: The new buy menu, health and money displays are less intuitive and harder to use in the heat of battle.
- Removal of CS:GO features: The buy wheel is gone and there's no option to bring it back.
- Weak anti-cheat: CS2's anti-cheat is barely an improvement over CS:GO's, so cheating is frequent in competitive modes like Premier.
- Loss of accessibility: Unlike CS:GO which could run on any PC, CS2's higher system requirements limits the player base.
Many pros like s1mple and NiKo are saying the same thing. The game is bloated and full of cheaters.
Some say it will get better over time but for now CS2 is a long way off.
Valve needs to address this ASAP, especially the anti-cheat. Without major improvements, CS2 will lose players to Valorant which offers a more polished and cheat free experience.
Right now CS2 sucks the fun out of what made Counter-Strike a great franchise. Valve knows this and will probably do something about it.
