What Percentage of CS2 Players Are Bots? The Truth Behind the Numbers

As a CS2 player, I've always wondered how many bots are in the game. A question many in the community have asked: what percentage of CS2 players are bots?

After digging into this I can share some info.

First off, bots in CS2 are mostly in casual game modes. You won't find them in Premier or Competitive modes where the stakes are higher.

It's hard to give an exact percentage, but estimates are that during peak bot activity around 20% of players in casual modes were bots. That number has likely gone down since Valve has been cracking down on farming and idle behavior.

The bot situation in CS2 isn't as bad as some other games like Team Fortress 2, but it's still an issue, especially in casual play. Many players report seeing bots in almost 9 out of 10 casual matches.

When we talk about bots in CS2, we're also referring to farmbots or idle bots. These are accounts left AFK to farm cases or items.

The perception of bot prevalence can vary greatly. Some players think over 50% of the player base is bots, especially in certain regions like China where farming bots are more common.

While bots are an issue in casual modes, cheaters are a bigger problem in Competitive and Premier modes, especially at higher skill levels. Players above 20,000 rating see more cheaters, players below 10,000 have a better experience.

In summary, it's hard to give an exact percentage of CS2 players that are bots but it's clear they're a big issue in casual play. And if you're tired of bots, but curious about the game's items and want to try your luck, check out our CSGO gambling section.
